What is it?

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) is a set of best practices and guidelines developed by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology. It helps organizations manage and reduce cybersecurity risks in a structured, repeatable way.
There are six core functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.
The new Govern function focuses on strategy, roles, and risk oversight at the organizational level.
